Camden Housing Authority's mission is to provide the very best, decent, safe, and sanitary housing at an affordable price for our community and the residents while they require our services.
Camden Housing Authority provides Low Income and Section 8 Housing programs. Low Income Housing is directly owned and operated by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Section 8 Housing provides rental assistance to low-income families living in privately-owned rental properties.
The housing authority manages 8 projects on 14 sites with 346 family units and 175 elderly/handicapped units. It also administers 531 Section 8 Vouchers in four counties.
Camden Housing Authority is working to make our developments affordable and safe communities for our families and individuals. We want to provide an improved living environment without discrimination where we can make a difference and build better communities.
Applicants who need assistance finding safe and reliable housing have to follow certain requirements. Eligibility may vary depending on the program and applicants must meet the requirements for rental references and criminal background checks. Click here for application information.
We offer housing assistance for families and elderly individuals through many different programs including Public Housing and Section 8 Housing Vouchers. We provide housing to more than 500 families through our programs and our units offer a variety of resources to meet your needs.
